John 11:43
When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, COME OUT (Jn. 11:43). This is the best miracle ever happened for and in front of men, resurrection. Jesus only said few words to raise Lazarus from the dead. Yes, only words. No services. No music. No rituals. No robes and cleric apparels. No offerings. No tear. No long sentences. Nothing. Just saying come out. If needed, not only Lazarus coming out, but all animals, all dead men, all spirits would be coming out too from the grave. And … Lazarus came out. Without waiting, complaining, bargaining. The dead man was completely healed and cured. His appearance was not scary. People didn’t run in fear. Some were awed. Some were angry. Which would be our feeling if we were there at that time? Would the feeling stay till the next day, next week, today, the end of our life? (ASH)
