Genesis 48:14
But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim’s head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh’s head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Nov. 26, CROSSING (Gen. 48:14). Man proposes, but God disposes. Man designs and tries everything to be blessed by God. But in the end, it is God alone who gives the blessing. Joseph had tried that his first born, Manasseh would get the blessing more than his younger brother, but God through Jacob didn’t make mistake. Joseph had tried:
a. Put Manasseh on the right hand of Jacob.
And on the other hand, he put Ephraim on the left hand of Jacob.

b. Hold Jacob,’s hand and directed them to the right ditection.

c. Told and reminded Jacob that Manasseh was his first born.
But, Jacob didn’t follow Joseph’s will. He still did what he wanted to do. He still crossed his hands to give the greater blessing to the Joseph’s younger son. Therefore, don’t worry about God’s blessing. He will always give the blessing precisely to the right person. We just try our best to do our part. ASH.
