Job 35:3
Yet you ask him, ’What profit is it to me, and what do I gain by not sinning?’
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Jan. 23, GAIN (Job 35:3). Gain is what we get from something. We like to gain, not to lose. In everything, we want to gain. We hate to lose. We want to do something beneficial. If in fact, it brings no profit, then, we won’t continue it. What do we gain?
1. Peacefulness.
If we are not sinning, we would be peaceful in our heart. No guilty feeling. No anxiety. No threatening feeling. No fear. We are going to be able to sleep quickly.
2. Authority.
If we don’t sin, we would be respected and honored by many people. People including our family will give us homage.
3. Pleasing God.
If we don’t sin, we would please God. ASH.
