Psalms 44:19
But you crushed us and made us a haunt for jackals; you covered us over with deep darkness.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Mar. 15, JACKALS (Ps. 44:19). The Israelites quite familiar with jackals. Especially, those who become shepherds. David was once a shepherd too. He knew very well about jackals.
1. Jackals to be hated.
Mostly, people are afraid and don’t like jackals. Jackals are fierce, wild and threatening. They can kill and eat human beings or the cattles.

2. Jackals to be hunted.
Therefore, people would hunt and killed the jackals. Mostly, don’t like to pet them. David also didn’t like jackals. He killed them. They threatened his sheep. If possible, there were no jackals in the area. They wanted to eradicate the jackals.

3. Jackals to be helpful tool.
But God as the creator of jackals could use and make the jackals as helpful tools. God uses jackals to teach, shape and train his people to be better people. Sometimes, he uses the jackals to accomplish his will. Men don’t like. But God likes and uses. ASH.
