Numbers 12:10
When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous —it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,

and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.

Numbers 12:13
So Moses cried out to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Feb. 15, MIRIAM (Num. 12:10-11, 13). Miriam was the older sister or Aaron and Moses. She was the oldest. She was unhappy with the position, fame and respect that she had been receiving so far. Therefore, she rebelled, murmured and complained against Moses. Moses said nothing. God was very angry toward her and Aaron whom also said nothing to rebuke Miriam. God punished her with the leprousy. Until this far, she was still arrogant.
a. She didn’t quickly ask forgiveness.
Aaron and Moses quickly ask forgiveness for her. But she kept quiet. Even, until she was confined outside of the camp, she was still kept quiet.

b. She didn’t realize her sins.
She didn’t say anything to confess her sins. She didn’t stop committing sin. Perhaps, she didn’t say it verbally, but the heart was still murmured.

c. She didn’t afraid of the punishments.
Although leprous, confinement, or else, she didn’t afraid. Perhaps, she felt that better to die than to humble herself and repented. So arrogant. So haughty. So stubborn. May The Lord helps us always to humble ourselves. ASH.
