Even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign Lord.

As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could save neither son nor daughter. They would save only themselves by their righteousness.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, July 17, NOAH, DANIEL, JOB (Eze. 14:14, 20). Their names are mentioned twice in this chapter. They were already passed away at this time. But their names are still remembered, mentioned and quoted. Why? Not because of their intellect, skill, wealth and so forth. But because of their righteousness. If we are smart, genious, wealthy and skillful, people will remember us. God won’t. Because, those are not considered special. But if we live righteous, God will remember us. Whether people will remember us or not, not our concern. But for sure, God will remember us and use our names to inspire generations ahead. Perhaps, people may forget our names. But God will remind the people to remember us. So do you want to “exist” in this world? Wanna be remembered? Live righteous before God
