  • Psalms 109:25
I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, May 19, OBJECT (Ps. 109:25). David was not a perfect man. He was never became a perfect man. He had done many mistakes. Yet, God chose him not because he was perfect. God chose and change him to be better person. Here, we can see his development.
1. Object not subject.
He was cursed, not he was the one who curse. He didn’t curse other people. In this case, he didn’t initiate curse, hate and sin.

2. Object not return the curse.
He didn’t doing the same as and to the people whom cursing him. He didn’t curse them back. He didn’t use his mouth or limps to sin by cursing other people. He didn’t initiate and return curses with curses.

3. Object not hobby.
David didn’t like to curse other people. He had no hobby to curse other people. He never cursed other people. If he wanted to return the curse of other people, he let God did it. He didn’t want to defile the usage of his mouth to curse other people. He didn’t take and steal the part of God in doing the recompense. ASH.
