Psalms 9:9
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Feb. 8, REFUGE (Ps. 9:9). God is the most kind father for men. He is always ready and willing to receive his children whom are in need.
1. He is ready to help.
God is ready to receive men in the times of need. Receiving is already a help. God doesn’t refuse his children. Although, in the most extreme case, his children only come to him in the time of need.

2. He is ready to act.
He doesn’t discuss about the payment of his help. He doesn’t demand anything from men. He doesn’t need anything from men. He is all sufficient. On the other hands, what payment men can give to God?

3. He is ready to direct.
Many times, difficulties happen because of our stupidity. God wants to teach us in order not to repeat the same mistakes. God wants us to be wise and mature. He wants us to be careful with our decisions and acts, so that we would be free from all unneeded troubles. May God help us. ASH.
