Exodus 32:6
So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Dec. 30, REVELRY (Ex. 32:6). Men’s heart are basically dirty. If men do good things, usually only temporary. They do them not because they love them. They do them because many fake reasons.
a. Because of legal authorities.
If there are legal authorities, such as policemen, priests, parents and others, people tend to do good things.

b. Because of social sake.
They do good things to show off. In front of other people, they want to show that they are good men.

c. Because of hidden agenda.
They have other motives in doing good things, such as to get positions, bigger gifts, rewards and others. Whatever reasons are the truth is they don’t really love God after these many miracles, great experiences and left over food. What about us? Why do we do good things? Do we do them for God? ASH.
