Leviticus 23:3
“There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Jan. 30, WORK (Lev. 23:3). God is fair. He is always just. He doesn’t force the people to use all the time they have to worship God. God doesn’t say that every hour or several times in a day, we have to do certain ablution and preparation to worship God. 6 days we may use them to work. We may work as much as we like. We may work overtime. Well, of course, we don’t intentionally work in such a way till we can not do anything on Sabbath day. So the point is:
a. God wants us to work.
God doesn’t want us to be lazy, disturbing other people, making problems for other people, doing crimes. God wants us to work hard and responsibly.

b. God wants us to worship.
Worship is not only in the temple. It is not only happen on Sundays. Worship happens everyday. Obedience is worship. All of our actions are worship.

c. God wants us to win.
By controlling our time, we win. We win over the ego. We win over the pressure of the peer and other people. We win over the bad habbit, ignorance and rebelliousness. So, let’s work. ASH.
