Genesis 24:52
When Abraham’s servant heard what they said, he bowed down to the ground before the Lord.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Nov. 2, SERVANT (Gen. 24:52). How can Abr teach a servant can be very spiritual like that? Abraham had a servant whom was very spiritual. He didn’t do things carelessly. He did all things carefully and prayerfully.
a. He didn’t fabricate stories.
He told the story and the things asked him to do honestly, detailly and perfectly. Wherever he went and to whoever he met, he told the truth and the same story.
b. He didn’t seek fun for himself.
When the father of Rebecca, Bethuel asked him to stay 10 days and being served as an honorable guest, he refused politely. He could agree with the offer, but he refused.
c. He didn’t forget to thank and depend on God.
He believed God deeply and strongly. He prayed as the prayer and the plan were for his own benefit.
Can we make our servants, employees or workers be spiritual like that? Do we want to have spiritual servants? We can if we ourselves show our spirituality and kindness like Abraham. (ASH).
