Psalms 143:9
Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, June 22, ENEMIES (Ps. 143:9). Look, how heavy the life of David. His life was full with enemies. He was blessed so far, but the enemies were also blessed. God blessed them to exist and to prosper so far.
1. They are many.
The enemies are not only 1 or few, but many. Their number were numerous. They were blessed in such a way so they can be big countries. They could live long, generations and generations. They could live as if they were permitted to do sins. God didn’t eradicate them right away. People would misunderstand if not careful.
2. They are strong.
They were also could grow very big and strong. Many of them were giants. They trained physically and skillfully. Strong in muscle and in fighting. Strong in intelligence and social. Notice, The Philistine. They were giants, many, strong and smart.
3. They are hostile.
They were also hostile to The Israelites. They were never became the allies of The Israelites. They never be the friends of them. They fought, gave troubles, threatened, insulted and so forth. But, they never won ober the spirit and faith of them. David and his people still beliebed strongly to God to this days. So be strong in and with God. ASH.
