Psalms 140:3
They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s; the poison of vipers is on their lips.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, June 19, SERPENT (Ps. 140:3). Serpents are awesome creatures. They were created by God. They existed since the very beginning of age. It was God himself who designed them to be like that, full with all the strength and weapons. The muscles are lethal. The teeth, the poison, the flexibility, etc. Including the tongues.
1. Sensitive.
They have very sensitive tongues. The tongues can sense temperature, smell from the prey although the prey are still very far. The tongues lead them to go to the prey’s dens or caves.

2. Sharp.
The tongues are sharp meaning have the ability to seek the right place to attack. They know the weaknesses of the opponents perfectly. When they attack, they would make no mistakes.

3. Spoils.
Spoils meaning poisonous. Not the venom per se, but the tongues are also containing poison. They are also lethal. When they bite, the combination of the sharp teeth, the poisonous venom and the spoiling power of the tongues would make the prey powerless in no time. Very powerful and dangerous. ASH.
