Exodus 11:5
Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Dec. 9, FIRSTBORN (Ex. 11:5). How eery that night was, when ten of thousands people died? When the angel of death passing through their houses and locations? When loud voices of crying broke the night? Ten of thousands of people, from babies to adults, and ten of thousands of cattles, any kind of cattles, died in 1 night. Died sequentially as the angel of death passing through their houses. The crying from 1 house had not finished, it was followed by the other crying from another house. No house at that night was freed from crying. There was a cry in every house. If not because of the death of the firstborn, it may be the firstborn of the cattle. Nobody can refuse, fight against or even run from this plaque.
a. God has the ability to do so.
God is not only talking, saying, planning, warning, prophesying, but he also can actualize it. He can make everything happen without difficulties.
b. God has the right to do so.
He is the source of life. He is also the source of death. Life and death are in his hands. He can start life. He also can stop life. He has the right which nobody can argue. Even, if man argues, it doesn’t change anything at all.
c. God has the plan to do so.
In everything, God has a plan, the good one. Nothing happens coincidentally. Nothing happens by chance. Nothing happens unplanned. God has the whole big picture as well as the detail of the picture. Man calls it as plague, but God calls it as wonders. Therefore, we just honor and follow God always in our life. He is never wrong or doing mistakes. Let God be God. Let us be his good children. ASH.
