Exodus 19:9
The Lord said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you.” Then Moses told the Lord what the people had said.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Dec. 17, SPEAKING (Ex. 19:9). God exists. He shows his existence through many ways.
a. Creations.
The perfection of the creation speaks to us that there must an intelligent creator behind all of these creations.
b. Prophets.
God sends many prophets, apostles, leaders, teachers and pastors to speak to the people. They carried God’s message to the people.
c. Voices.
God speaks directly with voice in the language of the people. In the story above, God spoke to Moses, but the people could also hear the voice.
What about us today? Does God still speaks? Yes, he speaks. He is still speaking. He speaks all the time. He speaks through many ways. If not by creations, pastors, leaders, teachers or events, he still have many other ways. He speaks through the scriptures. The scriptures speak to us his will for us. He can also speaks through the Holy Spirit inside us. So, there is no excuse for us yo say that God doesn’t speak. So, let’s obey and honor him completely. ASH.
