Exodus 40:38
So the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Jan. 7, CLOUD AND FIRE (Ex. 40:38). During the journey of the Israelites, they were led by the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. The presence of them really amazing. I believe they should be awed every second in their life.
a. The existence.
Who could make them? Who could shape them? Who could control them, move them, stop them, erect them? Who could put them in front of the people?

b. The change.
They were interchangable automaticlaly and miraculously. At the same hour everyday. In the night, the pillar of cloud would change into the pillar of fire and in the morning, the pillar of fire would change into the pillar of cloud. No one can change. No one needed to do things to change them. No one required to remind them.

c. The consistence.
Who could refuel the fire? For a fire to glow requires something. It needs gasoline, wood or kerosene. Who could provide those fuel? Where did they buy it? If they were awed every second in their life, we do too. We have to be awed every second in our life. God never stops doing wonders. God gives his wonders to us. Including today. His wonders for us today is called immune system, heart beating, free breathing, metabolism and so forth. Instead of grumbling, let’s give thanks to God. ASH.
