Numbers 33:55
” ‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, March 8, BARBS AND THORNS (Num. 33:55). It’s really dangerous to put ourselves close to barbs and thorns. They may cut and hurt us. They may make problems in our life. They bring many difficulties in our life. But many people like to compromise with problems, why?
a. For convenience sake.
He wants to be faster. He doesn’t want to wait, to be busy, to be tired and so forth. In order to be happy and satisfied.
b. For tolerance sake.
Many people cross the line because of tolerance. In order to tolerate his friends. In order not to raise feud.
c. For acceptance sake.
In order that he would be accepted in certain groups. He wants to have friends. He doesn’t want to be lonely. We have to go away from these traps. We have to come closer to God. ASH.
