Jeremiah 47:2
This is what the Lord says:“See how the waters are rising in the north; they will become an overflowing torrent. They will overflow the land and everything in it, the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out; all who dwell in the land will wail
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, July 11, GOD’S. WORD (Jer. 47:2). God’s word not always comforting, strengthening and supporting. Sometimes, God’s word is hard and unpleasant to be heard. But we have to listen them all. We can’t choose what we want to hear. We can choose to listen or not. Servants of God also can’t choose nice and comforting message. We can choose to deliver them or not. This is the feeling of Jer. He has to deliver a hard message like this verse. But he delivered it all completely. He obeyed and served God wholeheartedly. This is what we have to do it too. We have to obey and serve God like Jer. It surpasses our feeling, preference and will. Let’s serve him without reserve. -ash
