Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, June 15, PRIDE (I Sam.13:13). Pride is 1 of the greatest enemies of every human being. No matter who he is, he would have this struggle in his heart. This is the test of growth. This is the test of spirituality. This is the test of maturity. This is the test of humility. We can see that Saul was an arrogant man through his answer.
a. Explain unneeded info.
Samuel asked what.have you done? Not why did you do it? Samuel didn’t ask the reason or motive. Samuel asked about the action.

b. Blame other people.
Saul blamed Samuel tarrying coming. Saul blamed his people cowardice. He didn’t look at himself. He looked at other people problems.

c. Slow to repent.
Actually, after Samuel rebuked him, he had to repent quickly. He had to ask forgiveness. He had to ask mercy from God. He had to confess his sins. But, he said nothing. He just let the punishment of God came. So, let’s be more humble. God helps us. ASH.
