2 Samuel 9:9
Then the king summoned Ziba, Saul’s steward, and said to him, “I have given your master’s grandson everything that belonged to Saul and his family.

2 Samuel 9:10
You and your sons and your servants are to farm the land for him and bring in the crops, so that your master’s grandson may be provided for. And Mephibosheth, grandson of your master, will always eat at my table.” (Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.)

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, July 12, ZIBA (II Sam. 9:9-10). Ziba was the servant of Saul. He was just a servant, yet he also enjoyed all the blessings of God to his master, Mephiboseth, Saul’s grandson. He enjoyed:
a. Property.
All the properties of Saul were given back and restored to Mephiboseth. The lands and their productions were given to Mephiboseth. He enjoyed all of those too. He enjoyed the property of a king. No wonder, he could become so rich, so that he could have 15 sons and 20 servants. Amazing. A servant might have many servants.

b. Provision.
All the lands were fertile and gave abundant production. They produced many food. He, all his household and even all the cattles could also enjoy eating the food and never be starving.

c. Protection.
He also enjoyed the protection David gave to Mephiboseth. Mephiboseth ate at the table of David. Mephiboseth got the protection. Of course, he and his household got it too. That was the life of a blessed man. He was blessed. Other people may be blessed too. Let’s be a blessing. ASH.
