They set out at noon while Ben-Hadad and the 32 kings allied with him were in their tents getting drunk.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Aug. 16, VAST (I Kg. 20:13, 16). Who do you want to depend on in life?
1. Vast army.
The Aramean king, Ben Hadad had a vast army. He had an uncountable army. His army was so many. It was said that his army covered the countryside. Covered a very large of area. As many as the grasshopers. While The Israelites was like 2 little flocks of goats.
2. Vast arm skills.
The Arameans were known as very skillful warriors, brave soldiers, strong troops, qualified fighters. They could use the weapons so well.
3. Vast allied.
Ben Hadad had 32 strong allied. They were all kings. Of course, they had their own army. They joined their armies together to fight against The Israelites. But, all of them were defeated and destroyed easily in 1 day. A hundred thousand died at that day. They lost. They escaped. They were humiliated. So, never depend on man’s strength. Always depend on God’s. We’ll never be disappointed. ASH.
