“Do not kill them,” he answered. “Would you kill those you have captured with your own sword or bow? Set food and water before them so that they may eat and drink and then go back to their master.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Aug. 24, OPENED EYES (II Kg. 6:17-18, 20, 22). Most creatures have 2 natural eyes. 2 eyes to see. Some may see more, some see less. For some creatures, they can even see in the dark or in the little light. But no one can see invisible things. Here, we can see that Gehazi could see the unseen. What did he see?
1. He saw a great army of heaven.
He saw that the hills were full with fire chariots and horses. Not only 1, but many. There were multitude of heavenly armies around the hills.

2. He saw a great miracle.
Elisha asked God to blind the eyes of the Aram army and suddenly, they were blind. Then, Elisha asked God to open their eyes again once they arrived in Samaria and they were able to see again.

3. He saw a great kindness.
Elisha forbid the king of Samaria to kill the enemy. Instead, he asked the king to feed them all. That was strange. That was special. But, that was beautiful. We need to ask God to open our eyes to see great things the Lord has done. ASH.
