1 Chronicles 4:33
And all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath. These were their settlements. And they kept a genealogical record.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Sept. 16, RECORD (I Chron. 4:33). Do you know why God chose the Jews? Not because something in them. Not because they were excellent nation or people. It was because of his grace alone.
1. God gave them skills.
They learnt how to make linens, pottery, etc. They were given many abilities and skills.
2. God gave them size.
God made them big nation. They were small, weak and poor. But God gave them territories, descendants, so that they became a strong and independent nation.
3. God gave them spirit.
A strange spirit, that is very consistent. They were very accurate in copying and translating the scripture. They were very consistent in recording the genealogies. God gave them many blessings. May God give us blessings too. ASH.
