Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Oct. 9, MISTAKE (I Chron. 27:25, 27, 30, 32). It is ok to be detail, complete, focused, separated, serious and so forth. But 1 thing which can not be replaced would be like that all the time.
1. Leading.
Leading, choosing, commanding was ok. David chose men to do this and that.
2. Working
David might have worked many things. He might be building the city, the troops, organizing things, etc.
3. Serving.
David might be busy serving also in the temple. He participated in rituals, worships and so forth.
But 1 thing which could not be replaced or ignored was being a father. How could he ask somebody else, Jehiel, to watch his sons? Take care of them? He should not do that. He should take care of his own sons. He had to teach them to love God as he was. What about us? ASH.
