2 Chronicles 19:7
Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Oct. 31, JUDGE (II Chron. 19:7). 3 things that every judge should do. He should not only know, but he has to exercise it every time and everyday.
1. Act justly.
Just is the number one factor a judge should have. Just to the self, just to the beloved ones. Just to the people. He is not only a judge in the court room. He is not only a judge on certain day and hour. He is a judge in his life.
2. Act fairly.
He has to be fair between the rich and the poor, the old and the young, the rigt and wrong. In many places, he has to show justice toward the different complexions. Show impartial decision in every judgment.
3. Act sincerely.
He has to act out of his heart. Hate sin. Live holy. Receive no bribe. Bribery blurrs his clarity to see the case and decide the decision. ASH.
