Esther 1:9
Queen Vashti also gave a banquet for the women in the royal palace of King Xerxes.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Dec. 10, RESPECT (Est. 1:9). Respectful is an honorable noble character of a person. If we being respectful, the people would love us. People like to be respected. For the smallest thing that a person does, we should give thanks, respect and compliments.
1. Respect to the people.
We need to be respectful people. Let’s make it our habit. Try to speak politely, calmly and correctly. Don’t be easily judge people. Try always to see the good side of the people. Everybody must have the good things in everything.

2. Respect to the parents.
Not to forget to respect the older people, especially our parents. They have the right to be respected. Their love, sacrifice and merit are irreplaceable. We need to give to them what belong to them.

3. Respect to the partner.
In this case, the husband. Vashti should respected her husband. Unfortunately, she disrespected him by not coming at the king banquet. She even threw another banquet of her own. She was punished seriously for doing that. We have to learn to respect everybody. ASH.
