Psalms 6:3
My soul is in deep anguish. How long, LORD, how long?

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Feb 5, ANGUISH (Ps. 6:3). Anguish is a deep sadness. David was sad deeply. Sometimes, a deep sadness like this happens in our life too. How David overcome his sadness?
1. Acknowledge.
He confessed his sadness. He didn’t cover it up. He uttered it openly. He didn’t deny or hide it. He poured it out. He didn’t feel ashamed of the anguish he experienced.

2. Ask God.
In his sadness, he came to God and pray. He asked mercy from God. He knew that he needed mercy from God. He knew that the mercy of God is the antidote of his anguish.

3. He was active in doing his part.
He kept doing what he supposed to do. He had his duties and responsibilities. He didn’t leave them all and cried all day in his chamber. So, when we are sad, we can copy David. ASH.
