Psalms 48:9
Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Mar. 19, WITHIN THE TEMPLE (Ps. 48:9). David was a king. Of course, he had so many things to be done. But he had a great habit in his life. His habit was so strong so that nothing changed his habit. Nothing replaced his habit. He liked to worship God. But what is more amazing in that, that is, he didn’t do it careleasly.
1. He did it within the temple.
He didn’t do it in his palace. His palace of course was so comfortable. He didn’t have to go anywhere. He could do his worship while eating, watching other people singing, dancing, etc.
2. Within the troubles.
He had many troubles. He had many enemies. But he still set aside time to go to the temple to worship God and gave sacrifices. He didn’t wait until he finished all his troubles, works and needs.
3. Within the heart.
He worshipped God seriously. He didn’t do it only as a dead ritual. He worshipped and built a strong relationship with God. He meditated his perfect words and mighty works. ASH.
