Ezekiel 46:13
“ ‘Every day you are to provide a year-old lamb without defect for a burnt offering to the Lord; morning by morning you shall provide it.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, July 25, EVERY DAY (Eze. 46:13). I’m really surprised when I read this verse. Especially, the word every day. This is not a game, small offering, trivial and careless feasts. When The Israelite celebrated Sabbaths, New Moon and othet feasts, they have to be ready to offer a lamb, a ram or a bull. What a serious offering. What an expensive sacrifice. Perhaps, we think that God is cruel, demanding such an expensive offering from the people. But we forget, that if God demands, meaning that God has already provided them at the firsthand, so that they can give. So actually, God has made them so rich, so it’s not difficult for them to give such an offerring. The problem is that men are so stingy, so that they don’t want to give to God what is belong to God as their sign of gratitude and servitude. They forget that all of their wealth are from and belong to God. Are we ready to give offerring to God? -ash
