Ezra 8:31
On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, Nov. 24, BANDIT (Ezr. 8:31). Bandit is different from enemy. Bandit is a villain whom we usually don’t know. He is just a thief, robber, criminal. Enemy is someone whom we have known previously. But God could protect us from both. From all of them. Whether they are few or many, God could protect us safely. Sometimes, the presence of enemies and bandits are beneficial.
1. Ready.
They help us to always be ready how to face them if needed. If possible, we just try to avoid them coming. But, if needed and in a certain circumstances, we have to be able to face them.
2. Realize.
They help us always realize to watch our lives closely. We have to be careful, not to live carelessly. There are enemies and bandits out there, whom don’t like and want to fail us. They are happy to see us fail.
3. Right.
They make us have to have a right lives. Yes, we have to live closer to God. We have to be holier and holier. Don’t open a chance to have something indecent. So, just protect us God from our enemies and bandits. ASH.
