Exodus 15:22
Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Dec. 13, DAYS (Ex. 15:22). The real color of a person can be seen only in such a very short time. We can see the quality and character of a person in days, perhaps even in minutes. The Israelites had just experienced a very great miracle, crossing the red sea on dry ground. But after 3 days, they fell in sin again. They grumbled against God again. Perhaps, we can try to understand their sin by:
a. Man needs water.
No man can live without water. Water is the primary need for man to live.
b. Man needs it on the daily basis.
Man needs water everyday. In a day every man needs at least 1.5 litre of water.
c. Man needs it more than food.
Man can live without food much longer than without water. No wonder, when they were thirsty, they fell in sin. What about us? If we didn’t have what we need, shall we fall in sin? Shall we still trust in God. Let’s trust him always. ASH
