Job 42:8
So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.”

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Jan. 30, DEFENDER (Job 42:8). If God defend us, stand beside us, who can be against us? Notice, the friend of Job, they had been misbehaving to Job. Job didn’t attack them, so they had to
1. Come.
They had to humble themselves. They were the one whom had to come to Job. They had to seek for him and come to his house. They had to meet with Job, not only coming, but no meeting.

2. Brought.
They had to bring expensive gifts, 7 bulls and 7 rams. That were very fancy gifts. They should not come empty handed. They couldn’t replace the gifts with anything else. They couldn’t reduce too. They had to come and brought the gifts with them. No representative. No courier.

3. Ask the blessing.
They had to ask the blessing from Job. They had to wait Job said that prayer of blessing. They had to utter their intention to Job to ask him to pray for them. So, don’t defend yourself. Just belive in God and wait for him. ASH.
