If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Aug. 28, EVIL (Lk. 11:13). Evil is of course, we all know, is not good. But the cruelest and the most evil devil knows how to give good things to the children. Perhaps, not all the time, he gives good things to the children. But for sure and for certain times, he knows how to give good things to the children. How much more the Father in heaven is? Does our Father know what is better for us? Does our Father know before we ask? Does our Father know when is the most exact time to give it to us? Does our Father know how to give it to us? And lastly, does our Father know to give it unconditionally without thinking to get paid? The answer to 5 questions above is decisive, … yessss. So, never doubt that our Father is our perfect and loving Father. No speck of evil in him. Just believe and have faith. He knows all. He knows we are his children. And he knows what we need. Just come to him and say, Father …. (ASH)
