1 Kings 8:32
then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, condemning the guilty by bringing down on their heads what they have done, and vindicating the innocent by treating them in accordance with their innocence.
1 Kings 8:34
then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to their ancestors.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, August 4, HEAR (I Kg. 8:34). There are 6 times this word is repeated in this chapter, hear. The word appear in the sentence hear from heaven. To be more precise, the sentence was repeated in the Solomon prayer. Of course, it is very important, so that Solomon had to repeat 6x. Solomon believed that:
1. God hears.
God doesn’t need to have physical ears to be able to hear. God can hear. God does hear. He hears everything. He can hear everything so well. He doesn’t hear unclearly. He doesn’t hear unconsciously. He doesn’t sleep when he hears. Everything is not mixed in his ear.
2. God is here.
God doesn’t only hear, but he also is close. So very close. He never leaves us. He dwells in us. Inside us. He hears although he looks like hearing also from a far, from heaven. Well, distance is nothing for him. He is not limited by distance. Language doesn’t limit him. Vocal doesn’t limit him. He can hear and understand No misunderstanding for him.
3. God helps.
God hears and acts. He cares. He helps. He uses his mighty power to help. To help in giving us peace, health, way out and everything he thinks would be beneficial for us. He doesn’t only hear, knows and close, but do nothing. He loves us, so he certainly would give us the best. He is never late. He is never mistaken. He hears and in many instances, he has opened a way for us. ASH.
