Psalms 63:9
Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, Apr. 3, KILL (Ps. 63:9). Many people live in fear. Live in anxiety constantly. If we see the life of David, we can see that he had many problems in his life which potentially could make him live in anxiety. But he could manage the anxiety greatly. There were many people whom wanted to kill him.
1. Saul.
Saul was the first king of Israel. He was refused by God because his sins. He disobeyed God many times. David was anointed to replace him by God. Samuel was sent to anoint him. Saul was envy to David. He didn’t feel happy and willing to give the throne to David. He tried many times to kill David.
2. The Philistines.
David killed tenth of thousands Philistines. Of course the family would not be happy toward David. They wanted to revenge David for the killing. Yes, David’s hands were full with blood of the Philistine. They must planned incessantly many attempts to kill David.
3. The Amalekites.
There were 400 Amalekites whom were able to escape from David. David killed all their families, because they had kidnapped David’s and his troops wives. David chased them and killed them all. But the 400 of them were managed to escape. They of course had their plan to avenge their family massacre. But, above all, David could be strong. ASH.
