Psalms 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Feb. 18, MEDITATION (Ps. 19:14). More than mere knowledge, confession and desire, David really did things awesome. He didn’t only good in speeches or statements, but also in actions. He meditated
1. He stopped.
He stopped all of his activities and businesses. He stop all of his affairs to meditate on the word of God. It was difficult to really stop from doing other things and calmed the heart to meditate the word. We used to do many things altogether at the same time. We like to do things while doing something else.
2. He set aside.
He set aside a certain time to meditate. He didn’t do it only when he faced struggles. He had a consistent time to meditate the word.
3. He spent time.
He spent time to enjoy the presence of God. He communicated and communed with God. He didn’t hurry to end the meditation. He had nothing waited for him to be done quickly. He spent good time with God. ASH.
