Job 34:9
For he says, ’There is no profit in trying to please God.’
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Jan. 22, PROFIT (Job 34:9). Everybody wants profit. Everybody seeks profit. Everybody measures everything with profit. If no profit, then, he won’t do it.
1. Losing profit.
Many times, we don’t get any profit. We got nothing. We lose. We broke. We want the profit, but we miscalculate, mis-invest, mis-step.
2. Taking profit.
But, do we realize that taking profit is not the character of good men? If we consider everything as a tool or way for us to take profit, we value people into things. If we think that this person won’t give any profit, we won’t come close, work together and befriend with him. Even, to God, we consider God as a source of profit.
2. Giving profit.
We have to start thinking, how to give profit to everybody around us and to God. What profit do the people and God get from us? Shall we make our life beneficial for many? Let’s not be selfish, but let’s make ourselves beneficial for everybody. ASH.
