2 Kings 8:7
Elisha went to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram was ill. When the king was told, “The man of God has come all the way up here,”
2 Kings 8:10
Elisha answered, “Go and say to him, ‘You will certainly recover.’ Nevertheless, the Lord has revealed to me that he will in fact die.”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Thu, Aug. 26, RECOVER (II Kg. 8:7, 10). Recovery is a gift of God to every person whom God heals.
1. God doesn’t heal everybody.
God loves everybody, but he doesn’t always heal everybody. God of course can heal everybody easily, but he doesn’t do that. It is not about his power to heal everybody. It is about his will.
2. God doesn’t heal every Christian.
It’s good to be a Christian. But being a Christian doesn’t automatically guarantee the healing for every sickness. It doesn’t mean that every Christian will always be healed every time he sicks, any kind of sickness will be healed. God never says that. And no proof in the history that God does it.
3. God doesn’t heal every faithful person.
Faith is not the prerequisite for healing. There are many examples of the faithful person, plus many gifts, plus high position and si forth, but he doesn’t be healed. And on the other hand, unfaithful person also can be healed. We can see here, Ben Hadad was not believe God. He was not a believer. Yet, God healed him. So, when we are recovered, praise The Lord. If we don’t, praise The Lord. Everything is his will. Everything has to happen according to him. ASH.
