2 Chronicles 15:17
Although he did not remove the high places from Israel, Asa’s heart was fully committed to the Lord all his life.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Oct. 26, REMOVE (II Chron. 15:17). Splitted heart happens many times unconsciously. We think that everything is fine nd in track. But actually, we hide and keep something detestable in front of God. In this case, Asa kept the high places in his kingdom. High places were the place of
1. Slaughter.
They didn’t only slit the animals for offering. But they also killed children to be offered to the gods.
2. Sexual revelries.
High places were the places of debaucheries, parties and diverted sexual activities. They would do any pervert sexual acts.
3. Sin.
God was totally displeased with high places, the heart of the people whom were very cruel and sinful. How Asa kept the high places? Why did he not destroy them all? We should not keep any sins and their tracks. We have to clean all sins and related things. ASH.
