Leviticus 22:7
When the sun goes down, he will be clean, and after that he may eat the sacred offerings, for they are his food.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Jan. 29, SUN GOES DOWN (Lev. 22:7). Through this verse, God teaches us to solve everything quickly. When the sun sets, everything has to be ended. Not only the uncleanness of the body, but also the hatred, grudge and sins of the heart. Start tomorrow with a new start. Don’t let the new day be filled with the same problems and sins of the past days. God can and already proclaims that an uncleanness can be cleaned when the sun goes down. Why?
a. God wants us to have a clean heart.
God doesn’t want us to keep a problem continuously. Keeping a problem weighs the heart. The problem of the day has to be solved in the day.
b. God wants us to understand that everything can be solved quickly.
Why postponing a problem? Why saving a problem? Why keeping a problem? We can solve it now. We can leave it now. We can forget it now.
c. God wants us to understand his heart.
He doesn’t like to punish. He likes to forgive and love. He doesn’t like to keep and remember our trespasses. We have to do the same. ASH.
