2 Kings 19:36
So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.

2 Kings 19:37
One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisrok, his sons Adrammelek and Sharezer killed him with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son succeeded him as king.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Sept. 6, WORSE DEATH (II Kg. 19:36-37). The life of Sennacherib was really not good. Not in the beginning. Not in the middle. But in the end. He had to die miserably. Why?
1. While he was still a king.
He just moved his place to Niniveh. He just lost a terrible loss. He just lost from the killing of an angel. He lost 185 thousands soldiers in 1 day. But, he was still alive, healthy and strong.

2. While he was still worshipping.
He didn’t lose his faith. He still went to the temple routinely. He still worshipped his gods faithfully.

3. While he was still a father.
He raised his children well. But his own sons killed him. His own sons betrayed and left him. He lost everything. Lost his war. Lost his life. Lost his sons. Really a bad end, worse than death. ASH.
