Psalms 118:3
Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, May 28, AARON (Ps. 118:3). Aaron was the older brother of Moses. He was chosen by God to be at Moses’ side. He was supposed to help his younger brother.
1. He lifted the hand of Moses.
Firstly, his role was to help lifting the hand of Moses. When The Israelites was at war with The Amalekites, Moses prayed on the hill. He prayed while he lifted his hands. Because, he prayed long, then, Aaron and Hur helped lifting his hands.
2. He helped Moses to speak.
Moses said that he was sttuter. He couldn’t speak fluently. He needed to be helped to speak. Especially, when he wanted to speak to Pharaoh. Therefore, he was chosen by God to help Moses to speak. He was a better speaker than Moses. He, therefore, accompanied Moses to come to Pharaoh and delivered the message of God to Pharaoh.
3. He helped Moses in solving the problems of the nations.
Aaron was chosen by God with the other leaders, to help Moses to solve the problems of the people. The people had many problems. He supposed to counsel and help them overcoming their problems. He was good to solve problems. ASH.
