Judges 1:7
Then Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sun, May 9, ADONI BEZEK (Judg.1:7). Adoni Bezek was the name of a great king. He was so mighty, so he could defeat 70 other kings, humiliated them without mercy during all of their life, scrapping food under his dining table. So far nobody could mess with him. But one day, he was struck down easily by Judah and Simeon. The lesson is:
a. Together we can be much stronger.
2 brothers joined forces could be a powerful force. The story would be different if they fight alone. If Judah alone fought Adoni Bezek, he might not be able to defeat him. So was with Simeon.

b. Same fate.
What we do to others could come back to us, even worse. Adoni Bezek cut the thumbs and big toes of his enemies. Now, he was also cut his thumbs and big toes. And the worse was he died because of that.

c. The true leader was God.
Moses might die. Joshua mighy die. Everybody might die. But God can’t die. God will always be with us. God will always be there at our side. So together with brothers is very important. But together with God is more important. ASH.
