Revelation 2 13
I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Tue, Oct. 13, ANTIPAS (Rev. 2:13). Who knows a person named Antipas? Who remembers his good deeds? Not many people know this man. Most of the people know Herod Antipas. Who knows that in the third church in Asia Minor, Pergamum, lived a faithful person named Antipas. I believe he was just a simple man. He has no magnificent skill. He has no gigantic figure. He has no fantastic knowledge and so forth. He was just an average man. But he has only 1 wonderful strength, faithful. What a faithful man can do?
a. It makes him brave.
He didn’t afraid of sufferings, persecutions, hardships even death. He was faithful till death.

b. It makes him strong.
He maintained his belief till death. He didn’t only for a period of time following God. He followed God till the end of his life.

c. It makes him succesful to please God.
God is pleasing with his faithfulness. God is always pleased with a faithful person.

Do we want to please God? Just be faithful. (ASH)
