Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, March 1, ARMY (Num. 26:2, 51). Since long time ago, there were a duty for the youth in Israel to go to military. Since then, the youth was prepared and taught to master some of the basic military knowledge and skill. They learned that knowledge and skill to learn:
a. How to be healthier.
In the military, they have to train their physics. They would be stronger, faster and healthier. They would be able to face harsh climate change and various diseases.

b. How to be more discipline.
In the military life, they learn to organize their life. They have to make schedules to make their life in order. This made them live in the quality and qualitative time.

c. How to cooperate in combat.
When they were attacked, they would be ready and able to face the danger. They had to protect their safety and their family well being. They had to cooperate if they wanted to stay alive in the dessert. So, nothing wrong to.have a little knowledge in military. ASH.
