2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Mon, Sept. 21, AROMA (II Cor. 2:14). Aroma is something smells good. Nice smell. Good odor. Who can refuse good odor? People like good odor. People looking for good odor. They are willing to pay for good odor. Paul is talking about the simplest and cheapest thing in evangelism. No money needed. No cable needed. No electricity needed. No particular places needed. Everybody can do it. Paul understands not everybody have money, place and etc. Therefore, he says in evangelism, we don’t have to spend money, go anywhere, prepare anything. It’s our good deeds which is going to go everywhere. In other words, our good deeds are going viral. Like a virus. Faster than any cable. It multiplies rapidly to everywhere. So, let’s continue our good deeds. So, by our good deeds, charity and kindness, the gospel can be spread. (ASH)
