Leviticus 9:7
Moses said to Aaron, “Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people; sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.”
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Jan. 16, ATONEMENT (Lev. 9:7). The purpose of all the worship and offering is clear, that is to acquire the atonement. What is atonement means?
a. Atonement is atonement.
It is the same as redemption. It redeems the person from sins. It is the result of giving the offering.
b. Atonement is at one ment.
It is unifying the person with God. Sins cause the separation and distance. Atonement pulls the person close and unify him to God.
c. Atonement is at one moment.
It is done once for all. Jesus is the perfect offering to make the atonement happens at once. He died one time. He offered his life one time. He paid one time. We are freed and become his forever. Let’s not forget what he has done. Let’s not doubt and argue what he has given us. We are one with God. That is the truth. ASH.
