2 Kings 9:21
“Hitch up my chariot,” Joram ordered. And when it was hitched up, Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah rode out, each in his own chariot, to meet Jehu. They met him at the plot of ground that had belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite.

2 Kings 9:25
Jehu said to Bidkar, his chariot officer, “Pick him up and throw him on the field that belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite. Remember how you and I were riding together in chariots behind Ahab his father when the Lord spoke this prophecy against him:

Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Fri, Aug. 27, BELONG (II Kg. 9:21, 25). God has a command specifically connected to envy. He said in the ten laws, especially in the law number 10, the last law, that we shouldn’t covet what belong to other people. Ahab covetted Nabot’s vineyard. He took it cunningly. But the vineyard still belonged to Naboth.
1. In God’s eyes.
The vineyard had been taken by Ahab. It had been used, cultivated and changed by Ahab. He had intended before that he would make the vineyard as the vegetable field. But in God’s eyes, the vineyard still belong to Naboth.

2. In people’s eyes.
Yehu told to his chariot man, Bidkar, that the vineyard was still belong to Naboth. Everybody knew so well where was the vineyard of Naboth. Therefore, Yehu didn’t have to explain anything, his chariot man knew it already.

3. In the dogs’ eyes.
Even the dogs as if knew where to eat. Before, the dogs licked the blood of Naboth. They would come back to lick the blood of the descendant of Ahab, Joram. Therefore, never steal. Never take what belong to other people. Never covet. Just work hard. ASH.
