Psalms 101:6
My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Wed, May 11, BLAMELESS (Ps. 101:6). David was committed to serve The Lord wholeheartedly. He wanted to be holy and blameless before The Lord. Not only at the temple, but also in his own house. He wanted to conduct a complete holy life. He wanted to be good example. So, there was nobody could blame him. He, even, wanted his ministers also live holy. So, the requirements for his ministers were not:
1. The face.
Whether they were handsome or beautiful. The look of the face was not number 1. Was not very important. Was not emphasized. Face could be number 2 or 3 or etc.
2. The muscle and height.
The muscle and the height were not important too. David was nor trying to look for models. He was not planning to have actors and actresses in his house. Height was average. Muscle was for the soldiers. But the minister had to be holy.
3. The intelligence.
Intelligence was important too. But not extremely important. A minister has to have some standard of intelligence. But intelligence is useless if the minister doesn’t live holy. Without holiness, the minister can’t be used by God. Thus, all believers and ministers have to have holy life more than great intelligence. ASH.
