Numbers 17;8
The next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.
Shalom sdr, my devotion today, Sat, Feb. 20, BLOSSOM (Num. 17:8). The life and story of The Israelites were full with miracles. The new and unimaginable miracles. Miracles which never happened in the past. This time, the miracle was about the staff. The dead staff was used by God to show God’s power. The staff was dead, but it could sprout, budd and blossom. The staff had been dead for years, but then suddenly it budded. Normally, nobody could make a dead stick budds. Whatever man can do, still can’t make the stick budds. Normally, a fruit tree takes a long time to produce fruit. But it was only 1 night, the almonds had been come out. The miracle was:
a. The stick produced fruits.
The stick produced many fruits. Not only 1, but many. It produced almonds. It didn’t produce small seed, like sesame seed. It produced quite big fruits, almonds.
b. The stick produced life.
The almonds didn’t broken. It stayed and keep alive forever. It didn’t get old. Once again, God showed that he could make life out of the death. No need man’s help. No need outside help. Noneed water, fertilizer, etc.
c. The stick produced fear.
People who saw the stick was filled with fear. They knew this was not magic. This was a great miracle which could be seen forever. Whenever their children were in doubt, they could see the stick and be confirmed, that God existed. That God was with them. That God stood beside them. ASH.
